Data controller and contact
The website www.hdsn.fr is published by HOME DETECTION SENSOR NETWORK – HDSN, a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with share capital of €414,300, whose registered office is located at 612 avenue Auguste Baron, 13500 Martigues, France, registered with the Aix-en-Provence Trade and Companies Register under number 492 077 581. HDSN is the data controller for the processing activities described below.
For any questions concerning your personal data or to exercise your rights, please write to contact@hdsn.fr or to the postal address above, for the attention of the data protection contact.
Contact requests and commercial exchanges
When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the subject of your request and the message you choose to send. We use this information to respond to you and follow up on your request. Fields marked as mandatory are required to process your request; without this information, we cannot respond to you through this form.
The processing of a general enquiry is based on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. When you request a quotation or information in connection with a contract, the processing is based on pre-contractual measures taken at your request. Professional exchanges concerning a company are, depending on their purpose, based on our legitimate interest in managing this relationship.
General enquiries are kept for a maximum of 12 months after they have been closed. Data relating to prospects and quotations that do not result in a contract are kept for a maximum of 3 years after the last contact initiated by the prospect. If a contractual relationship is established, the necessary documents are kept for the duration of that relationship and then archived with restricted access for the applicable statutory periods. Accounting documents are in particular kept for 10 years from the end of the relevant financial year.
Applications
The recruitment form allows you to provide your surname, first name, telephone number, email address, the position applied for, your message and, if attached, your CV and cover letter. This data is used to assess your application and organise recruitment-related exchanges. This processing is based on pre-contractual measures taken at your request.
Please provide only information relevant to your application. Avoid attaching sensitive data or identity documents that have not been requested. Mandatory fields are identified in the form; the proposed attachments are optional.
Applications are kept during the recruitment process and then deleted no later than 3 months after the process has ended. Keeping your data in a candidate pool for future opportunities requires your separate and optional consent; this retention is limited to 2 years after the last contact. You may withdraw this consent at any time by writing to contact@hdsn.fr, without affecting the assessment of your current application. If you are hired, the necessary data will be transferred to your employee file and will be covered by specific information.
Recipients and access to data
Contact requests are accessible to authorised HDSN staff responsible for processing them. Commercial exchanges are intended for the sales staff and management, according to their functions. Applications are restricted to recruitment staff and the relevant managers.
Hosting, messaging and maintenance providers may access the data necessary to perform their tasks. Access must be limited to what is required for their intervention. Data may also be disclosed to public authorities where required by law, or to authorised legal advisers where necessary in connection with a dispute.
Website operation and security
Operating and protecting the website may require the processing of technical data, including IP address, date and time of access, requested pages, browser information and security events. The website uses Wordfence in particular to help detect and block malicious activity. These processing activities are based on our legitimate interest in ensuring the availability and security of the website.
The maximum retention period for technical and security logs is 6 months. Information required to investigate an incident or establish, exercise or defend legal rights may be isolated and kept for longer for the period justified by that purpose. Access is restricted to administrators and authorised service providers.
Cookies, analytics and external services
The website uses consent-management tools and audience-measurement features provided through Google Site Kit (Google Analytics). Statistics may concern pages viewed, interactions, browser and device characteristics, and technical identifiers. Audience-measurement processing that does not qualify for an exemption requires your prior consent. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation or security of the website do not require consent.
The retention period selected for consent or refusal choices is 12 months. In Google Analytics, event data is kept for 2 months and data associated with a user identifier for 14 months from collection, without extension on subsequent visits. These periods do not refer to the lifespan of each cookie, nor to the retention of aggregated statistical reports, which are based on aggregate data and remain available beyond those periods.
When a page offers external content, such as a YouTube video or a Google Maps map, activating that content may transmit your IP address and browser information to the relevant provider. Loading external resources, including fonts, may also establish a connection with their provider. These non-essential services and trackers are subject to your prior choice through the consent banner: Google Analytics audience measurement, the Google Tag Manager tag manager and YouTube videos load only after you have agreed. A detailed inventory of the cookies placed, with their purpose and retention period, is set out in our cookie policy. The blocking of certain resources loaded by the website theme, in particular fonts and one Google measurement tag, is currently being corrected.
You may use the preference controls provided by the cookie banner to express or change your choices. If you have difficulty accessing these controls, please contact us at contact@hdsn.fr. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Transfers outside the European Economic Area
The website is hosted in France, by UNITEL GROUP (Marseille). Some services integrated into the website do, however, involve processing outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. This is the case for the Google services used for audience measurement, tag management, fonts and video playback: they are provided to European users by Google Ireland Limited, and processing may take place in the United States at Google LLC, which has certified its adherence to the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and implements the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. The same applies to the Wordfence security service, published by Defiant, Inc. (United States), whose data processing agreement incorporates those same standard contractual clauses. You may contact HDSN at contact@hdsn.fr for further information about transfers concerning you and the applicable safeguards.
Your rights
Depending on the processing activity and the conditions provided for by the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict the processing of your personal data. You may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interests. You may object to direct marketing at any time. The right to data portability applies to data you have provided where the automated processing is based on your consent or a contract. You may also define instructions concerning the storage, deletion or disclosure of your data after your death.
Send your request to contact@hdsn.fr, specifying your request and the information needed to locate your data. Proof of identity will only be requested where there is reasonable doubt about your identity. We will generally respond within one month; this period may be extended by two months where the complexity or number of requests so requires, and you will be informed of this within the first month.
You may lodge a complaint with the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL).
Application of retention periods and changes to this policy
The retention periods above constitute the retention rules adopted by HDSN. They also apply to messages and attachments received in email inboxes. Separate, restricted-access retention may be necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal rights. This policy will be updated as the website and its technical services evolve and are reviewed.
